Southwest Community Church

Baptist (CBWC)

I'm still learning about this church! If you know more about it and would like to help, it would be great to hear from you.

As far back as 1979, ads were listed in the Church Directories section of the Kamloops News for the "Southwest Outreach Project". By 1982, the congregation was meeting in the Aberdeen Hills Information Centre, and they officially became a congregation.

1979: Southwest Outreach Project occurred.

14 February 1982: Grand opening of the Southwest Communith Church. It was advertised in the 12 February edition of Kamloops News with this invitation:

April 2002: The 225-member congregation began expanding their building.

2 March 2003: The newly-expanded sanctuary was dedicated.
