1976: Pastor Vern Sundmark knocked doors in upper Sahali looking for interest starting a Lutheran church.
1977: A small group began meeting for weekly worship at Beattie Elementary. They called themselves “Sahali Lutheran Church”
1981: Moved worship services to Aberdeen Elementary School.
19 March 1981: Formally organized under the name “Hills of Peace”
27 April 1986: Current building dedicated for use - began services.
