St. George's Anglican Church

308 Royal Avenue is a church on the North Shore of Kamloops at the corner of Royal Avenue and Knox Street. According the the Kamloops Heritage Commission plaque outside the building, it is the oldest church on the North Shore, which was the town of North Kamloops at the time. It was built and dedicated in 1927 by Anglicans who were worshipping in the area.

There have been some changes to the building since it was first built.

The St George's Anglican Church congregation met in the building until September 2023.

Timeline:

April 1927: Building constructed.

18 October 1927: Officially dedicated

1930: Lych gate arch donated from St Peter’s Church in Goose Lake, Knutsford

1938: Vicarage built beside the church.

1966: Church raised up and a basement was added

September 2023: The Anglican Church held their final services in the building on 27 September. The doors were closed on 30 September.
