260 Leigh Road

Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses

260 Leigh Road was a Kingdom Hall at the corner of Leigh Road and Fairview Avenue. It was built by a volunteer workforce of Jehovah's Witnesses. It was the first Kingdom Hall in Kamloops

Property was purchased in 1955. Construction was completed in 1957, and a dedication occurred in 1959.

Due to a small lot size and growing numbers, parking was a recurring concern at the building. A large dirt lot existed next door, but was not for sale for years. Around 2010, the Jehovah's Witnesses were approached and asked if they would like to purchase that land. They did, and after constructing a new building, they sold this original building.

The original building still stands as of the most recent update to this page. When the building was purchased, the buyer renovated the interior into individual apartments and added some windows, but left the external structure and many of the paved areas as they had been built by the Jehovah's Witnesses.

Currently, the building is known as Cuzzetto Apartments.
